USB Cable

Ascensia's USB Cable is designed to work with blood glucose meters from Ascensia and Ascensia's data management software such as WinGlucofacts or Glucofact Deluxe. If you are on a network,you will need adminstrative rights to your computer to install the cable.

Connect to the computer

The following steps only need to be performed the first time of use the USB Cable with the computer.It will take 2-3 minutes.

1.Remove the USB Cable from the package and plug the USB connector into the computer port as shown in the diagram.It will start the Found New Hardware Wizardand the screens will appear on the computer diaplay.

2.Insert the yellow CD that is included with your cable into the computer's CD drive.

3.The Wizard will guide you through the setup of USB drivers.

4.The Wizard will then repeat the steps to load the serial drivers onto your computer.

Connect to your meter

1.Your blood glucose meter must be turned OFF.

2.Completely inset the round metal end of the USB Cable into the meter as shown in the diagram.

After starting your software,turn meter ON and proceed with the steps to
receive meter data.
